In 1939, San Carlos teacher Howard Demeke had the idea to bring members of the community together to raise a little "milk money" for the school children. He rallied the community and started a friendly "skit" competition. 73 years later, the Chickens' Ball is the oldest PTA fundraiser in the country and one of the longest continuously running shows of all time. In April of 2012, the Chickens' Ball will celebrate their 37th biennial production. Once again, they are pulling out all the stops to transform the Central Middle School Multi-Use Room into a world of wonder, excitement and delight. So dust off your boas and top hats, and join in! Your winning bid puts YOU (or another willing person) on stage during the Opening Act on your school's designated show day or night. Your walk-on, cameo appearance is in full costume (provided) and although you are not required to sing or dance, you are welcome to if you wish! Brittan Acres Night is Fri, Apr 20, 2012 at 8:00 pm.
Winning bidder must be over 18 and must attend the final dress rehearsal on Sat, Apr 14, 2012. If you are unable to attend your performance, you may transfer your cameo to another willing party.
